I smell gas or my burner won't light, what should I do?
If you smell gas, leave the building right away. Do not shut a valve, do not touch a light switch, and do not use your phone inside. From somewhere safe outside, call PGW at 215-235-1212 or 911. Once you are safe, call us at 267-388-3044. For a burner that won't light with no gas smell, that's a standard repair, usually a same-week fix.
Do you fix gas and electric ranges?
Yes, both gas and electric ovens, stoves and ranges, every major brand.
What oven brands do you work on?
Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, GE, Frigidaire, KitchenAid, Bosch and Maytag.
Should I repair or replace my oven?
It comes down to what the machine is worth, not to what broke. On ovens the usual replace call is glass: a glass oven door or a glass cooktop costs close to a new unit in the part alone. An igniter or a gas connection, on the other hand, is a normal repair and worth doing. Elsewhere in the kitchen: a front-load washer that squeals or will not spin is usually a bearing, and that is a replace, as is a compressor on a fridge worth under about $3,000. We will tell you which side you are on before you spend anything, because an $89 visit on a machine that is finished is no good for you and no good for us.
